-===== Manned Manual Checkpoints =====
-
-{{ :user_guides:comp_manual_marshals.png?250|}}
-
-At a manned manual checkpoint only marshals can log competitors, Automatic app logging is disabled. Manned manual checkpoints are compulsory for all event marshal competitors.
-
-If a checkpoint is manned automatic then Event Marshal app users can log themselves automatically while non-app using competitors will need to be logged by a marshal.
-
-{{ :user_guides:checkpoint_manned.png?250 |}}
-
-Here, Checkpoint 'Marshal 3' is a manned automatic checkpoint while checkpoint 'Marshal 4' is a manned manual checkpoint.
-
-A competitor can be logged using a number of methods dependent upon the event organisers preference. These are:
-
-  * Manual competitor number entry
-  * QR code or Barcode scanning
-  * RFID token scanning
-
-The Event Marshal app automatically generates a QR code that a marshal can scan using their phone or tablet.
-
-All methods will log a competitors number at the checkpoint. The Event Marshal app will automatically show when a marshal has logged the competitor.
-
-----
-
-===== Bypassing a Checkpoint =====
-
-{{ :user_guides:comp_checklist_bypass.png?250|}}
-
-Bypassing a checkpoint may be required when taking part in a race. Event Marshal allows for competitors to bypass a marshal if required. Within the checkpoint list the current marshal, with the exception of the initial registration checkpoint, will have a bypass icon. Tap the icon to request a bypass of the checkpoint. Dependent upon the organisers discretion bypassing a checkpoint may result in a competitor being disqualified.
-
-{{ :user_guides:comp_bypass_confimation.png?250 |}}
-
-Once a request to bypass the checkpoint is confirmed, a reason for bypassing must be given. The most common reasons are a miss-placed checkpoint GPS location that is not safe to reach for an automatic checkpoint,  or, for a manual checkpoint, no marshal available. Thee options are given as quick selection boxes. If there is another reason to bypass the checkpoint this can be entered by selecting the '**other**' check box.
-
-{{ :user_guides:comp_bypass_request.png?250 |}}
-
-After entering the reason for bypassing the checkpoint the competitors log will be updated and the next marshal in the race selected.
