+Checkpoint Marshal is for information and entertainment purposes only. It is the users responsibility to provide adequate competitor tracking and marshalling services for an event outside and independent of the Checkpoint Marshal app and service. DualPeaks or any other organisation, company or individual associated with this app cannot provide any guarantee of service or suitability for use of the Checkpoint Marshal App or service.
+Upgraded events must be completed within 11 months of the purchase of the upgrade.
+Once closed, upgraded events cannot be reopened.
+===== Deletion of Data =====
+You can, at any time, ask for your registered email to be deleted from Checkpoint Marshal and its database.
+Account deletion can be carried out from the app (setting menu) or by email to info@dualpeaks.co.uk with 'DELETE' in the subject line from the email address you have registered with. If you have participated in an event your data will be retained in the event to preserve database integrity, however your email address in the database will be replace with a generic address and your account deleted. This cannot be undone.
+You may re-register your email address, however a new account will be created and links to your previous data will not, and cannot be restored.
+DualPeaks reserves the right to delete any event, at any stage, if we feel it violates or promotes practices or oganisatioons that breach our [[user_guides:ethical_standards|ethical standards]] or legal obligations.
+===== Retention of data =====
+We will endeavour to retain past and closed events in our database as long as possible. Due to the cost of data storage it may be necessary to delete past events or events that have been dormant for a significant time. For upgraded events a warning email will be sent to event creators prior to deletion.
